5 Things worth spending your money

Today I will not teach about blogging or SEO what I am going to share with you are things that are worth spending your money. Since this blog involves topics on making money, I am now going to share how to spend it wisely because money is meant to be spent not to be kept.

Here are the things worth spending your money

1. Your Home. 

This is the place we live, eat and take care of our family. Our home deserves a budget for its repairs and improvements. You don't need to buy those new sofas or the latest flat screen TV, a simple re paint and redecoration of your home will do.

2. Your Car.

I don't have a Car yet, but believe me you will need money to take care of it. I remember when I was small we have this old Mitsubishi galant, it was cool when Dad first bought it but after a few years it got uglier and uglier because my father didn't spend a lot on Car repairs and maintenance until he got tired of the Car and sell it to the junk shop.

There are a lot of benefits on why you spend on your car, one of those is safety, changing your tire occasionally will prevent future accidents. Another important thing is Car insurance. So, if you are planning to buy a Car you should consider a budget for its maintenance.

Cars are like women and relationships, you got to spend for it to work, hehehe

3. Everyday Items.

In our home my everyday items are usually knives and cooking pans because I love to cook and eat but hated washing dishes. Whenever I see a new razor sharp knife on home shopping network I usually bough one, because cheap knifes break and not sharp enough which costs me time preparing food.

Spend on everyday items that are a bit expensive but has a good quality and will last for many years to come.

4. Travel and experience.

Go out to the beach with the whole family once in a month or if you have the right budget go to Disneyland or some theme parks because these experience are material things cannot replace. Experience is very important because its memories lasts forever. A romantic date for your partner is also worth spending. But you don't need to go to expensive places, there is always a cheaper way for everything.

5. You and your Family.

Before you take care of your family you should learn how to love and take care for yourself. Spending on something that will make you feel good will definitely help to have a healthy and happy lifestyle. These are some of the things you need for you and your family.

• Insurance

How to create a blog on blogger | Advantage and Disadvantage

Kumusta! today I will share to you how to start up and create your very first blog on blogger.com. I recommend this blogging platform for those who has no budget for hosting or for those who knows little or none about HTML or CSS, you can also earn money blogging through Google Adsense. But before we start I would like to share to you the Advantage and Disadvantage of blogger.com.

Advantage

• Easy to use. If you have a google account, you can use it to log in into blogger.com, once you finished signing up you can start blogging right away!
• No need to install anything. 
• Domain name is free. Although you can see a .blogspot.com in your domain name, it is still free. You can remove it later if you want.
• Very easy to post. If you are familiar with microsoft word or paint, then you will not have a hard time using blogger when posting articles, because it looks like the same. Its dashboard is user friendly and easy to use.
• One dashboard. All you need is one blogger.com account and you can create multiple blogs and you can manage them all in one dashboard.
• Blog theme is easy to change. If you can't design your own template, there are many sites that offer blogger templates, you can try them without cost.
• No special skills needed. You don't need to be techie savvy, but a little knowledge would definitely help.
• Google friendly. 

Disadvantage

• Limited flexibility. Compared to self hosted blogs like wordpress.org, your blogger has its limitation on terms of flexibility. Some blogger blogs almost looked the same because it has limitations on its design. 
• You don't own your blog. Although you own your articles and posts, blogger.com is owned by Google. It is just like you are renting an office space that is not yours. 
• Google can delete your blog anytime. If you violate some of their rules on using blogger, your blog can easily be deleted, and it sucks a lot! all of your hardwork could banish anytime if Google wants to.
• Blog name is long. Having ".blogspot.com" in your blog domain could be annoying. Most people are used to typing without a sub domain. 
• SEO limitations. It could be, it could be not. Actually for me it depends on the blogger itself on how he markets on search engines. But blogger.com has no SEO plugins compared to wordpress. In blogger.com SEO is done manually.

How to create a blog on blogger.com

1. Go to blogger.com. You can sign in using your Google account if you have one. If you have no Google account you should create one.

2. Once you are done signing in, go to your blogger dashboard and click on new blog. As you can see on the image above you will put the title of your blog and its URL. I suggest you use a domain name that matches with your blog topic. Once the address is available you can choose templates below and click on create blog.

3. Now that you have a blog you can start posting articles. Design your blog some other time, you need to have at least 15 articles on your blog. And you are done!

Easy to install facebook comment box for blogger

Not all people has a Google or blogger account in which they will use to comment on your blog. That is why some people uses a 3rd party comment plug ins just like Disqus and Intense Debate. But actually people are too lazy to comment on those commenting platform and I am one of those. But, if you have facebook comment box on your blog, chances of comments from your audience will increase because almost everyone is on facebook.

Advantage of facebook comment box

• More convenient for visitors. Most people while surfing the web has their facebook account opened, having this comment box will not bother them signing up or entering captcha's symbols when they want to comment.
• It boosts traffic. Visitors has the option to post their comments on their profile and when someone on their profile liked it, it will appear also on their profile page and so on.
• Threaded comments. Some blogs has no threaded comments on their default blogger comment box. Using this plugin will increase conversation from your daily visitors.
• No spam comments.

If you want to hide your default comment box follow this

2. Find "comments" it is usually embedded below posts > choose hide

Let visitors choose your blogger background color

Good day everyone! today I will share to you a cool widget that could interact with your blog's visitors. I call it the "let your visitors choose their favorite color for your background widget for blogger" whew!

Different people has different taste in colors, if a reader doesn't like the color of your site he might leave or close it. By using this type of widget it allows them to choose what color blends perfectly in their eyes while they are reading.

Note: This widget will only work to those templates that has an outer background or something. In this blog the widget won't work because it has no background, my template is fully occupied.

Insert Adsense Inside blogger post body

If you want to earn more through adsense, you need to put your ads where it is very visible. One of the best way to do that is inserting the ads inside your posts body because it will give you higher chance of click through rate and increase adsense earnings. 

I prefer a 300x250 medium rectangle or a 336x280 large rectangle ad unit to be wrapped inside your blog post. In this trick, your ads will be appearing just like an image in a blog post. Just follow these simple steps and don't forget to back up your template in case you made some mistakes.

Installation

1. Log in to your adsense account and create a 300x250 ad unit or a 336x280 large rectangle ad unit, then save and get codes

2. Copy and paste the generated code below to parse it.
  

3. Click on convert.

4. Go to your blogger dashboard > edit template > tick on expand widgets

5. Find this code using CTRL+F <data:post.body/> (Note: some templates has more than 1 of this code, just try them all in case it doesn't work)

6. Just above it paste this code

Note

Now your adsense can now be seen wrapped around your blogger post on the left side. But those ads won't appear on your home page and will only be visible if you click on your blog posts. This trick can save you ad space on your sidebar.

But I will not advice to use this trick if you are using pictures or images at the beginning of your blog posts because it will violate Google adsense terms of service

Aloha! today I will share to you some Adsense techniques that will help you earn more money. One of the best way to put your Adsense ads is putting it below post titles, but in this lesson we will add more, we add "add this" social sharing widget next to your Adsense ads. I found this trick on www.abctrick.net.

Before we begin the installation, I need you to go to your Adsense account and create a new 300x250 blocks ads that will perfectly blend with your template. After creating your new ads, save and get code, then copy and paste the code on this HTML parser.

Installation

1. Log into your blogger account> dashboard> click edit HTML (make sure you back up your template in case you made some mistakes)> click on expand widgets.

Blog and website: are they the same

People seems to be confused about blogs and websites (I was one of them before). Today I will discuss about it. Technically blogs and websites are the same, but there are distinct and relevant differences and advantages to both.

What is the difference between a blog and a website

A blog is like a magazine

A blog is a website designed to engage an audience with fresh content just like in a magazine. If you are a blogger you are also considered as a publisher. Your latest post is the first page of a magazine and your home page is the cover.

Search engines love blogs because it provides fresh and has relevant content. Search engines like Google gives importance to those blogs with high quality articles, by putting them on the first page when someone searches their keywords.

If you go to CNN.com you will see a lot of topics to read, from sports, politics to entertainment. What if you only like sports? then that's the time people search for blogs. People has different interests and a niche blog provides that service.

Because a blog is specific and always fresh, they are a target for a lot of advertisers. And that is why you can make a living through blogging.

A Website is like a digital store

Some consumers are more concerned about the product and ready to buy. They don't have time for those product reviews etc.

If you have a service or a product on high demand, then a website is perfect for your business. A website is like a online store, where service and products are already placed and ready for the customer to purchase.

If you're website is struggling to attract new readers and customers then you should combine a traditional website and a blog.

Remember the Internet is usually used to search, and blogs are the ones appearing highly on search engines rather than websites because they are specific and always has new content. Creating a blog for your website will help you increase visibility on search engines.
